Got my shipping notice too. I'm up in WA, so kind of surprised about the difference in shipping! Wow!

Why would a person pick FedEx? Are they better for our Canadian collector friends?

When they were priced the same I had FedEx as my carrier because I get better service from them than UPS. However since the pandemic the price difference is so large I had to go back to UPS.

I wonder if this in turn will have FedEx lower their prices to be competitive. I'm lucky that I've had good customer service from both in my area.

Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

I'm surprised the prices were different for me. I'm in a pretty urban area, and even have both UPS and FedEx stores walking distance from me. Not sure why the difference.

If you have a FedEx account and you have it shipped to your work (or name a business on your address), it’s actually cheaper than DHL option from SSC.

I may pay $15-$20 USD more to ship but taxes are much cheaper. I only pay $74 CAD in taxes for the SSC Mark 7 maquette where DHL will ask about $120 +. Since I have a FedEx account, the handling fee gets waived and I don’t have to pay up front. Heck, last month from FedEx, I only paid $38 CAD in custom charge for Starfire. Sometimes FedEx puts the wrong harmonized code and I only pay 5% tax.

Just ordered a second one. I originally only wanted one to have it repainted into my own character, but it’s too gorgeous a design. I need to have one to display in its original design too. First time I’ve ever ordered two of one piece.
