Two excellent new purchases:
First up, a statue that I've been very excited to acquire. Superman: The Man of Steel statue based on the art of my favorite artist, Frank Quitely. Nicely painted and sculpted, I feel that DC Collectibles has really stepped up their quality control since they changed their name. Paint is nice and clean, but the face didn't turn out as good as it looks in the product photo. Also, they just printed on a regular Superman logo rather than an accurate Quitely-style logo, which they were able to do for a previously for a Quitely Superman figure. The statue can also be turned easily on its metal rod. As you can see, he's in scale with the Quitely Black and White Batman, and looks good next to him.
Next, the Women of the DC Universe Batwoman, which I really wish were based on the art of J.H. Williams III. But Stanley Lau's design is close enough to that, so I picked this one up. Again, the paint is nice and clean. She's in scale with the Adam Hughes statues, if you're wondering.
