i dont understand why moore dont just give us a naked statue and be done with it.

i mean, let's get real. does anyone of us really care about the comic character? i read some earlier issues a while back, and it blew. the only reason she's popular is because she's wearing close to nothing. and we all love moore statues because he renders females so beautifully.

and so, why not just give us a completely naked statue instead, and they can call her whatever. it doesnt have to be comic based, and we will still love it 'cause it's moore's.

the japanese do it all the time with their anime/manga characters, and no one makes a big fuss out of it.

It's well sculpted, but as it's basically a naked woman, I won't add this to my collection.

So, what do you have against naked women?

Here's a post I originally wrote for the other Armor WB thread:

In the interests of full disclosure, I'll fill in a couple of details here. It's easy for things to get miscommunicated in the chaos of a show so thanks to Barbarian and Johnny for trying to clear this up.
First, thanks very much to those of you who like her. Those of you who don't, well, this is going to be the one and only version and there are a lot of other sculptures out there.
This was sculpted to be the second version of the Schoolgirl Witchblade, however, she had to be sculpted first. That was the plan from the beginning with Top Cow. Since I had to sculpt the body first in order to make a casting into Schoolgirl WB, I did as little armor as possible because we were going to take a mold off her and then I would sculpt on the clothing-white shirt, skirt and armor booties. The boots are just as in the illo by Marc Silvestri, same with the bra armor. Generally as much armor as shows in the illo is there in the sculpture, with a little artistic license.
We took the mold off the original and I sculpted on the Schoolgirl clothing. D-rod then suggested a Comicstatues exclusive, which I agreed to, or otherwise there probably would have only ever been these two versions.
When the time came to add more armor to the nearly nude version, I decided to leave it. I was happy with her. It was a nice study of a more slim figure than I usually would sculpt and I felt it was fine as it was. I had already done more armor twice before on the original and the WB II so I wanted to have the piece a clear departure from what I had already done.
We only called it Armor Witchblade because it was the production name to distinguish the two in company conversations. We sometimes called her Bikini Witchblade. It's probably more accurate to call it Bikini Armor Witchblade.
Again, this will be the only version of this piece, but I'm looking forward to seeing what some people do with adding their own armor.
