Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Ordered

Overall, this is an awesome piece and it captures Darkseid

+ Base
+ Pose
+ Both Portraits look great
+ Modern elements look good with Classic Costume
+ I think the price is fair

- Orange Hand? I don't remember Darkseid displaying those types of powers? It looks more like he reached into a bag of Cheetos

I wish one of the portraits had a light up and I'd definitely get rid of the orange affect, but other than that he's great

I do. I just need to save my money just in case they do a character I love. Or they finally do Doc Ock or another Spidey villain.

Nothing wrong with either one of these bad boys. It's just a matter of which version matches your image/interpretation/expectation of Darkseid. This new one definitely meets mine.

Just wondering tho ...this new one is beefier, but is it taller?

To answer your question, with the base, no. However, if you take out the base height, yes, the new Maquette is taller than the original PF.

I scaled the images to the proportions on the website.

Is Darkseid 1/4? Smaller even to Bane.

Darkseid height 7'6" to 8'9"
Bane height 6'8" to 6'11"

That image doesn't take the base into account. On a level footing the Darkseid Maquette is slightly taller than Bane.

Take into account that Darkseid's bass looks to be no more than 1.5 to 2 inches thick that places Darkseid at 22"-22.5" which translates to 7'4"-7'6".

Here, I've scaled them and placed them on an even plane.

Yea, I meant actual height of Darkseid .....so without the base.

Thanks for posting the comparison pic. Glad this new one is taller then the first one. More confident now this is the Darkseid to be had.

Random size comparison. Thanos standing would be bigger than darkseid.

Yes, Thanos on Throne I've always felt was oversized and larger than 1/4 scale. However it's also something I wouldn't complain about because it makes him more menacing.
