I received Robotech VF-1J Battloid Mode today.

I really likes the statue It's really well made with excellent weathering effect and has small footprint.
It is similar size with 1/5th scale statue.

I don't know why there is not much love on this line.
It has only 110 edition size. Maybe it's bit expensive for the size.

I ordered VF-1S Skull Leader and hope they make Max Sterling version.

with Fast Pack Armor Set

This piece is all sorts of nostalgia awesome! Considering the low edition size means that the demand may not be high now but could be because of limits to regions they can sell this too which also means we may not see many attempts at this scale in the future, especially not at the fine arts level from a company like Prime 1. I would like to see Max and Miriya in Battloid too.

When they first announced these I was really put off by the price, especially for the Guardian mode which is larger scale. But that is Waitlist at P1 and was Waitlist at Sideshow but now back.

Truly I think this line has some challenges because of the pricing as a barrier to entry.

There are many plastic versions out in the market which can keep most happy, but I wonder what a fans opinion would be if they could actually see one of these in person.

I know I am sweating that order button for the Guardian piece at Sideshow.

Congrats on a great piece and thanks for sharing!!

Yes. Macross was my favorite anime and toy when I was young and it will be great to get Max and Miriya version.
If they make Guardian mode in this size it will be great too. But I doubt that they make more on this line.

I really wanted Prime 1 Guardian mode one but it is too big to display in my house and shipping cost to Aus from Sideshow was over US$500.
I still fighting temptation.

Battloid shipping cost was $166.00 from Prime 1. They initially quoted $276.00 but it went down surprisingly and it fits in Besta with other statues.

I do think Battloid is expansive for the size but it's great to see the Macross in statue form and it brings back so much memory and give me a big smile.

Now hope Prime 1 makes Gundam in similar size and price.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
