And nice job on the office, MG. We have done some redecorating because of working from home too. My geek room has remained untouched as I refuse to put an office in my happy place!

Oh you're right that he has no idea. Figure it will be about the cost of some of the statues he gets me. I try to make it easy on him by being an easy person to shop for and picking out half my own gifts.

Unless it is a picture that I purchased already pre-framed with a different colored frame I always like doing a simple black frame. I just think a black frame looks more uniform hung on the wall with other pictures and I do like that gallery look. Also I figure since the pictures at least the ones I have are very colorful having a simple black frame focuses more on the picture and it just gives everything I’m hanging a more cohesive look.

However I have seen many prints with different colored frames that do look equally as nice.

Thanks . It’s so much better in person obviously but it took a lot of luck, planning and dough lol

Well I went to the framers today. The Storm art is interesting because of Jenny’s process. She does a straight pencil piece, then she copies it and does a separate grayscale shading over it. Both are beautiful - so this framed art has both pieces side by side.

I’m super exited to see how it comes out! I did go with a black frame, but it’s a shiny one

What are the size of those? And was SB’s art for a trading card or something like that? I don’t re seeing that art be before. It’s beautiful, but I don’t recall seeing it.

The simple black frames look great with pen and ink art but I've seen some other more elaborate framework that look amazing for colored pieces.

Waiting for risingstar to chime in as he's got some museum-quality framed pieces, mostly colored.

I have more, but I posted too much already. I believe every poster, print needs it's own home. The framing elements should compliment the art but not detract from it.
