Wish the base was not so drab! A good big splash of color can go a long way.
Thing is the factory HAS to nail that red rusty metallic paint.

Yes I hope they can get that paint to match the prototype.
And yes the bases are very basic, but I'm just guessing, that they want these characters to stand out more and not bother with elaborate bases to take away from the characters themselves

Yeah I'm not asking for anything elaborately distracting just like maybe a bit wider lava stream for color?
This one looks like they barely forgot to paint it. Teela's and Mer-man's bases were just right. Skeletor's was pretty good.

Yeah I'd like to hear from them why the base is so plain, I mean $660 for a 1/5 isn't cheap, a little more lava on the base seems reasonable

I didn't. I made the hard decision to stick to the main lineup and not get the characters I don't love as much. So, I skipped Trap Jaw, Merman and Beast Man. I don't have the space for the full blown lineup.
I'll get Sorceress whenever she goes up.

Ahhh you have a lot more control than me. I seriously want Trap Jaw but buying him will lead me down the path of getting Mer-Man and Beastman as well....
