To base a film's merits on one line of story changing dialogue, lol.
And I'm the crazy one..
I've stated credible reasons why I prefer my film, but you haven't done so with yours, yet you and the mod continue a loving bromance by sharing insults and remarks, which is pretty petty.
You prefer Empire Strikes Back, I prefer Return of the Jedi. We got that out of the way
The Shining - Never tire of this film 8/10

i sense there is much anger in you.
i never called you crazy. so simmah dahn nah.
i only pointed out what was the defining moment and the single most creditable reason ESB is seen as the best film out of the three. not to mention how it flowed and how some of the script was free styling by the actors. particularly the scene where Han is about to be frozen in carbonite and Leia tells him she loves him and he says. "i Know" .
Wompa, Taun Tauns, Snowtroopers with Vader, galactic empire's ground assault on the rebel base on hoth. snow commander, AT-AT, AT-AT drivers, AT-ST, snow speeders, asteroid field chase, star destroyers, super star destroyer, Giant space worm, mynock hunt in a giant space worm, Boba Fett , Slave-1, bounty hunters, seeing master Yoda for the fist time and teaching Luke the ways of the force on Degobah. Lando Calrission, Lobot, cloud cars, Ugnaughts. and the most screen time for Vader in any of the OT films. or any films of the saga for that matter (talking about Vader in the suit) . these are reasons why the majority of SW fans believe that ESB is the best film out of the three.
its ok if you dont think that. and if you like ROTJ better. there is nothing wrong with that.

lol the made for TV Shining over Kubrick's masterpiece.........wow
the made for TV version with King helping to show his "true" version just emphasized how monumentally better Kubricks version was, King is just butthurt a director made his work better. Sure the TV version is book accurate, but its inferior to the movie in every way imaginable

You realise with all of your spoiler ridden original trilogy discussion here, you guys have ruined it for the three or four people who haven't seen those movies yet
