Spider-man Homecoming: 9 / 10
Lot of fun. Too much technology in the costume. But a very pleasant movie.

Baby Driver - 8/10
Cool heist/chase film by Edgar Wright. Excellent ensemble cast. Narrative is pretty straightforward and while I loved the look & style of the film I think the massive amount of praise being heaped upon it is a little excessive. It's no Reservoir Dogs and it's no Drive but it is a fun ride and it's use of music as almost a character unto itself is very creative and unique. Worth a look for fans of Wright and/or the genre.

The Beguiled (2017) - At a girls' school in Virginia during the Civil War, where the young women have been sheltered from the outside world, a wounded Union soldier is taken in. Soon, the house is taken over with sexual tension, rivalries, and an unexpected turn of events.
There was a little "is that all there is?" feeling at the end for me, but the strength in this movie is more the ride than the destination--like Coppola's Somewhere. Awesome cast. 7/10
