I'm one of the few that actually wants to see Kong win. I like to root for the underdog. Kong seems to die in pretty much every movie he's in though, and let's face it, Godzilla has a lot more firepower going for him as well as durability. Kong might be stronger, but that could be debatable as well. The cards seem to be in Godzilla's favor any way you slice the deck.

I'm not a fan of Mecha Godzilla or Mecha Gidorah, etc. I can see giant robots that look like humans being built, but giant robots being built that look like Godzilla, etc. just doesn't push my buttons and never did. I like the giant monsters that are organic and the giant robots that look more like the Jaegers from Pacific Rim...but that's just me.

I know they might not be the best movies. But I love these. Godzilla has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. These are movies no matter what I will enjoy. I could care less about the story. I just want to see monsters fight!

Check out the trailer if you haven’t already.

I haven't really read or heard much about this, but I watched Godzilla 1984, Kong Skull Island, and Godzilla King of the Monsters in anticipation of Wednesday's realease of Godzilla vs Kong, and I noticed that Kong waded through a Napalm sea of fire and seemed at least somewhat fire proof to me, which is weird as he's covered in fur, but maybe he's got some kind of fire defense/invulnerability. Probably not, but it would sure come in handy against Godzilla's nuclear fire breath.

I don't know if I can say it was great but I thought it was fun.

Exactly what I want from a monster movie anyway.

Fun movie and it was clear who was the superior monster in this one. Kind of weak cop out ending but I enjoyed it.

Spoiler
I thought the entire plot line surrounding the podcast guy and the teenage girl to be completely useless and annoying. I understand they needed a way to show how apex was up to no good but come-on. Find a better way.

Why exactly did they need to use the skull of the dead monster in order to control the mecha godzilla?

This was the first movie I've seen in a theatre since Ford v Ferrari. It was really good. ____ is logically better than ____ and they showed that in the movie.
