I think the bigger idiot is the man who put the nephew up to doing this. This kid could have very well been shot, either by police, or some armed passerby playing hero.

If cops showed up and they told him to drop his weapon, and he swung it towards them instead of dropping it (man nearby filming it or not), my guess is they would've at least winged the kid, if not ending it quick with a shot to the head.
Hopefully the kid's parents want nothing more to do with the Uncle (at least for a while), seeing as how he's family.. and potentially put their son's life at risk.

In theory I agree, but I would give him a pass, because as the thread states "teenagers are idiots..."
The adult involved however should have known better. And being that he was the one filming safely out of harm's way, he obviously did know better.
