BBQ Smoking

Man, this section is dead! Let's liven it up a bit!

Anybody here into BBQ grilling and/or smoking?

I've gotten into smoking meats over the last year or so and I've gotten pretty good at it. I just got a new toy and thought I'd share...

I got this thing for a great price off of Facebook Marketplace and it's practically brand new. I still need to season it before cooking on it. I'll take care of that this coming weekend. I'll be sharing pics and recipes as I go along.

If any of you folks have good recipes or pics of your recent cooks, please feel free to share 'em.

Never gas at my house. I've been a charcoal man my entire grilling life. I still love my Webber' kettle grill & have had to switch her out only twice in 18 years. I collect smoking wood & love smoking a grilling meat & fish. For me, a gas grill is like cooking inside on the stove.

Well, it'll be mainly wood splits that I use for cooking, but a charcoal base is a must.

I prefer cooking with charcoal or wood as well, but a gas grille certainly has it's uses. Cooking a quick steak after work is one. Ideally, I'd have several cookers (stick burner, gas, pellet grille), but there's only room for so much on the patio. I follow a you tube channel where the host does a LOT of different stuff with a Weber Kettle. It's a very versatile piece of equipment!
