Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Trailer is up on YouTube now.

Follows Egon's grandkids who find his Ghostbusting equipment and deal with ghosts in small rural town.

Original movie exists in the timeline, the reboot does not.

Not sure we will get cameos.

I think given the time passage and death of Ramis it was always hard to do a third film. I'm glad they aren't doing a copy and paste of the first two like the reboot tried. May not be for everyone, but it has my interest feeling like aspects of the original while plenty of changes.

Not a fan of all kids being the main cast...find it boring.

I understand it being too much of a departure for some. The trailer gave me some hope they'll get the tone, but I doubt they'll ever be able to capture that mix of humor and horror the way the original did. The sequel struggled, the reboot failed, so I'm fine going a whole new direction. The original will always be there if this doesn't work out.

I had super low expectations, but this was a really well done trailer that sold me on the film.

Same. Already looks 100x better than the hot mess from a few years ago.

Looks pretty good to me, I'm all for a different take on it whilst still continuing the story on from the 2nd

I'll see it, but disappointed that there won't be an appearance by Vinz Clortho, the Keymaster of Gozer.

I think Moranis retired from acting years ago. Cannot remember last film I saw him in.

Might be a Goonies meets Stranger Things type of vibe to the movie. Could be good, could be bad.
