Good stuff mate! Fingers crossed Prime 1 upgrade the materials used for the skirt.

Just curious, if we want the look of leather, but I assume don't care about the "feel" of it, why not use whatever fabric etc material looks best, and seal it in a clear resin topcoat to prevent deterioration?

Would this risk it chipping along with the synthetic material? As I imagine it'd be a thin layer when coated.

Well the whole idea would be that the coating prevents the deterioration by acting like a protectant/barrier.
But yeah, if the material is inherently going to "self destruct" LOL then it's a moot point.

I get the barrier part and it could well work. Just unsure the malleability of the coat when the resin solidifies. If somewhat malleable, there would be movement, thus less chance of it breaking/chipping. If not and it cures into hard resin (like polystone), it could be brittle and prone to chipping as it'd be thin as a waffle.
I'm unfamiliar with the properties of clear resin coating and how it will bond with synthetic materials. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in? I'm not sure if I would risk it tbh.

Wouldn't it be nice if it comes out first, to sort of break up the long wait for the full statue?
