The Hills Have Eyes (1977) - fun Wes Craven movie about a family of cannibals living in the desert that hunt anybody that is unfortunate enough to come across them - 8/10

The Hills Have Eyes: Part 2 (1984) - Wes Craven admitted himself he only did this one for the money (this was filmed before he had the popularity from making a Nightmare on Elm Street, but was released after Nightmare) this movie probably never would have been made if he didnt make it before Nightmare - 6/10

The Hills Have Eyes (2006) - this remake went a little overboard on the shock factor violence, lots of people apparently walked out of the theatre because of it (if you've seen it you know the parts im talking about) but overall I thought it was above average for a remake - 7.5/10

The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) - this was really bad and hard to take seriously at all, its about soldiers going into the desert to try and wipe out the mutant cannibals, and of course things dont go according to plan - 5/10

Stagecoach (1939) - A group of people traveling on a stagecoach find their journey complicated by the threat of Geronimo and learn something about each other in the process.

A first-rate classic western complete with cowboys, Indians and the Cavalry too. 8/10

Goldfinger (1964) - While investigating a gold magnate's smuggling, James Bond uncovers a plot to contaminate the Fort Knox gold reserve.

Definitely the best of the Sean Connery era and perhaps the most fun of all the James Bond films. 8/10

News of the World 7.5/10 Standard good Tom Hanks movie. He knows, for the most part, how to pick good scripts that show what a good actor he is.

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

Rather good. Excellently cast. Each of the four band members are very different from one another. Queen had such humble beginnings.

9/10

Watched WW1 and WW1984 with the parents this weekend, and wow...everyone is spot on about WW1984, even my parents were like what the hell is this? (after just seeing part 1) they asked if it was made by the same person that did Part 1 to which I replied yes it was...pretty hard to believe

Wonder Woman - this movie is a lot of fun, good characters, good action, good story, and they really captured the integrity and heart of Wonder Woman, it really felt how a Wonder Woman movie should - 9/10

WW84 - I have no idea what happened here, but I found this movie to be way too long, and too corny, with barely any wonder woman scenes or action in general, far cry from part 1. They had a great opportunity to really go with the 80's feel as well and they did barely anything to make it feel like the 80's in this movie, real shame. The backstory of the villains was nothing like the comics, and sometimes im OK with that, but it was just done poorly in this movie, especially Cheetah, there is no reason they couldn't have made her origin more in line with the comics, the background for it was already pretty much in the movie, they should have dropped Maxwell and just made Cheetah the villain, but gave her the proper story to make it believable that she could go toe to toe with WW (and please, WW does not need a male love interest shoehorned into every movie, it was OK in the first but no reason for it in the second). I will say I thought Kristen Wiig did a good job with what she had to work with though, if they just focused on her as the villain with the right story it could have been great - 6/10

I'll forgo any comments and just post ratings for these political documentaries:

Becoming (2020) - Join former first lady Michelle Obama in an intimate documentary looking at her life, hopes and connection with others during her 2019 book tour for 'Becoming.' 7/10

Knock Down the House (2019) - A look at the people involved with various political campaigns during the 2018 U.S. congressional election. 8/10

Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President (2020) - Jimmy Carter's election to the presidency of the United States in 1977 was helped by the links that this fan of pop music had with stars. 7/10
