My guess? This myths and monsters line will be original takes on the Universal Monsters. Gillman is Creature from the Black Lagoon? Dracula and Frankenstein are public domain, so they can get pretty free with them. They can make a wolfman and as long as they dont call him Universals The Wolfman, they're free. Same as the mummy.

I was thinking that Gillman was also the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I have not seen that movie in decades but I was not aware that the creature had and actual name.

I'm not sure he does. I'm getting my guess from the Monster Squad haha. I know I've read and seen that when they made that movie they didnt have the rights to the Universal Monsters, so they tweaked a few of the looks and had their own stable of monsters. Like the wolfman in MS looks like Stan Winston, and not the classic Lon Chaney Jr Wolfman.

In that movie, Monster Squad, the creature was named Gillman. So pretty generic.

I hope thats what they're doing. I'd love an unofficial Monster Squad line up of the monsters.

Sideshow's original 1/5 line, this new myth line, TH's MoTU line and some of the older Blizzard 1/5's are gonna all look great together as mixed blend fantasy line up.
