I believe I have some Alclad chrome paint in my stash so I'm going to try that route and see what happens.

Okay, the main part of the statue is pretty much finished. I need to dremel down the magnet in the neck to get the head sculpts to sit flush but that's about it. Still have a few items to play with like the metal and bone claws, the base and the switch out head and its' mask. Once it's all wrapped up I'll give my final thoughts on the piece. As always I appreciate your feedback and support!

Quick update: Except for a couple of small touch ups this one is a wrap. Hope to finish the alternate head tomorrow before the game.

Thanks very much you guys!
To be honest, this piece overall turned out to be one of my lesser efforts, mainly because I was ill prepared.
I didn't make sure I had all the paint I needed, so I ran out of brown and yellow very early into the project. I went to the hobby store and they were out of the airbrush version but had the paint brush type. I thought I would get it, thin it down and it would be fine, but no...it didn't match. The yellow was too lemony and the brown was off too. So I lost a lot of the nice shading I had in the browns blending it together and all the yellows kinda don't match LOL. So the end result is solid work on an effed up paint job LOL. OTOH, I did improve my shading/highlights techniques and I feel more comfortable doing it... you just can't see it all that well. HA! So when I get motivated I'll mask off the boots and trunks and try to match the yellow a little better, and maybe re-pop the brown highlights too. You bet your ass I've ordered everything I'll need for Superman days ago.

Thanks again guys! Enjoy the game tonight!

Head sculpt WIP. Brown hair and eyes next. Going for a bruised but not bloodied look.
