So, to kill some time waiting for Superman (not shipping until after CNY) I pulled out this rather disappointing Batman Returns kit I got awhile back and started doing some prep work on it. It was advertised as 1/4 scale but the figure itself is only 17.25" from tip to toe...18.5" on the base. I hate when they do that . The 3D print is not the greatest either, too many print lines for my tastes. It's also hollow, but that's not unexpected. I'll probably fill the base, boots and legs with Hudson Water Putty to give him some weight. And the cape is two pieces, which is always a cause for celebration.
But WTH...it's Batman. Keaton Batman. So I'll throw some more primer on him to see how rough it is, rub my chin and ponder for a couple of minutes, and execute maneuver Indiana Jones 001... make it up as I go along. LOL

I had some extra time today so I finished doing the first primer coat on the body and now I can see the prep work I need to do. Also injected some Water Putty into the base, boots, legs and upper body to give it some weight. Completed the base as well, went for the snowy street look from the scene in the movie the pose is based on. Photo can't show the nice sparkling pearl finish I sealed it with to enhance that snowy shimmer. Tomorrow I'll try to smooth out the body, give it another round of primer, and hopefully apply the black base coat on Sunday.

Finished the body, boots and gloves today. Black base coat, white highlights to get some separation between the sections of the suit, blend it in with the black base coat and reinforce the highlights with a black-grey. Suit gets a matte finish, boots gloves and cowl are satin.

Looking good man, i LOVE the returns suit. I could have suggested a fix for the scaling issue but looks like youre a little too far into it
