I read an article about him recently. His wife died of cancer in the late 90s when they had two young daughters. He took a break from acting to focus on raising his girls. He's open to returning to acting if the right part came along, but turned down a walk-on in the Ghostbusters reboot a few years ago.

Sad we missed opportunities for the original cast to do more movies but this is what I always thought should happen. The children or kids take over the mantel and continue the fight.
I don't think we will ever get that old school feeling from movies we grew up with again but I guess this is a step in the right direction for the franchise.

I liked the trailer. I have heard some people not like the idea of kids taking over but I just happy it's in the same continuity/universe. It has moved on but is respecting the past. The vibe is different too because it is set in the small town/county instead of the New York vibe of the original. But at least they're not just repeating stuff.

trailer looked ok, but this feels as much like a Ghostbusters movie as it does like Schindler's List. not saying it'll be bad, not saying it'll be good but I am saying it doesn't need to exist.

Agreed. I might see it if I hear good things about it. Otherwise, I don't see a need for a Ghostbusters without the original crew doing the busting.

I think i'm the only person in the world who didn't want a 3 even when Harold was still alive and everybody was supposedly on board. I loved 1 and liked 2 even more (another thing I have in common with very few people apparently ) and I even enjoyed the story of the game, but felt there was no need to drag the proton packs out ever again.

I just don't like that kid from Stranger Things. I'll still watch it though.
