Mysterious symbol in NYC building
Anyone who's read the works of HP Lovecraft should know exactly what this is. Don't break that seal!

I can't open my aol link to this story. Can you nutshell the Lovecraft explaination? I've read that the Cloverfield movie that J. Abrams is directing may have a Lovecraftian premise. You don't think this may be a publicity stunt?

"Whether it was made in the 1970s or it was made in the 1850s, somebody still made this thing," Rocco Leonardis, an architect and brick aficionado, said as he looked it over in its warehouse crate. "No matter how we slice it, it's meaningful."
lol this applies to everything man made ever. i just folded a napkin...we should save it because it is meaningful

A panel from a old building in NYC has an archaic-looking design built into the brick. From looking at the design, plus the situation described in the article, it reads like the set-up for an HPL story - you know, the type where some researcher discovers an artifact in a modern setting that is a link to the elder gods.
