Guy in the vid also said the base is light. Comparatively speaking. It is hollow also? Sounded like it.

Heavy statues are for fools. Don't much care what it weighs.

A knock won?t break a solid/reasonably solid statue, but may shatter a particularly hollow one.

Extremely bold, but uh...

So Sideshow did not actually list the materials used on this piece?

Depends on how hollow. The right void can be stronger than solid.

If BC was solid then the engineering of this piece would not have worked, or it would almost certainly develop leaning issues with that much unsupported weight extended out like that.

The back (hind legs) should be solid so the rod has foothold inside (strenght & anti leaning). Otherwise some unwanted tap (small force) at the front will break BC legs.

Anyhow these basic shapes are good for rotational casting.

Broke down and put in my order. I don't have the room for the full 1/5 line from Tweeterhead so having this and the upcoming Skeletor/Panthor piece will be enough to satiate my MOTU thirst.

Bases are usually not hollow because they - literally - support the rest of the statue regardless of how light the rest of the pieces are. I've never had a light base of a statue and I have 1:4 and 1:5 and 1:6 pieces from XM, TH, PCS, and SS.

People wondering how thin Battle Cat is need to remember he is supporting the weight of a whole 'nother statue. Battle Cat can't be that hollow OR He-Man is light as a feather. Yet nobody is getting tweaked out or providing information on He-Man's weight.

So if you're not ordering because of weight/design concerns I can't think you wanted this statue much anyway because it's too great to pass up based on second hand reviews. There is no history of TH pieces leaning, cracking, etc. If a human bumps and breaks their own statue - that's been proven to happen on sculpts of all scales and materials.
