The bust was advertised as shown with the correct pupil wasn't it?

It is the correct pupil. The one shown in the CC's promo pictures is simply a painted sphere. I believe they did this simply to get it ready for EXPO. They have said they will be replacing it with one that will have a clear cast resin sphere to give it depth and have the same "I'm watching you from all angles" look as their first raptor. The eye colour and design will be the correct one.

From watching the movie specifically for the eyes, in JP1 they seem to vary quite a bit. From what I can tell the one CC used for the bust was from the closeup shot of the raptor that was watching Muldoon get attacked. I can't really see that particular eye in any other shot.

I would imagine that’s the eye they used. Given the closeup.

True, but to me it looks very different than any of the CG or other real eyes I looked at.

Mostly that dull, badly patched repair under the left eye. It's very noticeable in person. There's a bright pink blob of tongue paint on the lower gums but that's only really visible if you stick your head in her mouth...

Welcome to the board BMR. I wouldn't be happy with that paint spot, should have been better painted there. I can't tell, but that might be just the seam area. Tongue is hard to tell, but looks minor. Where did you get it from?

I see nothing wrong on your bust. If anything, is unique. Embrace those small flaws. No raptor was the same in nature. As long as nothing is broken, everything is good.

I love that classic "unique" line people try to use to broadly cover up issues, flaws are flaws, not "personality". Some color variation between different pieces or similar "differences" are what is ok to be "unique", not actual flaws or poorly done repairs. It doesn't have to be broken to have something wrong that needs addressed.

It's the dullness more than the crack. It really catches the eye.
maybe if i just gloss it up a bit...

I bought it in the UK from Collectibles direct. I believe it's 296/300. It was around that number anyway (too heavy to check). Makes me worry for the rex as i'll probably get a really high number on that too.

Hope I'm not being too negative. It's probably only because i spend so much time looking at her that i notice the flaws. Still love the thing, just maybe not £1300 worth of love
