I always thought the "inhibitor disc" or obedience disc idea was lazy comic writing. Hulk controlled by a gadget? Silver Surfer with cosmic power the same? Might as well slap one on Galactus or anybody with powers and call it a day.

His attention to the most minute detail just blows me away. And since I prefer the unhelmeted portrait I'm glad to have both heads. The bead necklaces run right along the seem and do a great job at hiding it.

I think it'll be hard for me to pass on Bel's sculpt. The details are all there. However, I wish there was more shading on the body. Hoping XM has a full reveal of their Gladiator Hulk before end of the year, so I can make a decision.

"King" Hulk and Planet Hulk are different stories and Hulk had totally different looks in the arcs. Simple swap out wouldn't work.

Looks are pretty similar if you compare Hulk on Throne to this Hulk. I don't think anyone would have complained if the 2nd Hulk portrait (the better one IMO) had a crown on his head?

Yeah, more than just a head swap. Similar looks, but 2 different costumes.

XM Hulk Transformation has the best face I've ever seen on a Hulk statue, but I think the Hulk is a bit small.
Doesn't matter. If I had to choose now, I would select Sideshow Gladiator Hulk. The Hulk, Base, ... is just incredible.
But now I'm waiting for the new XM Hulk

I am not sure what "Hulk on Throne" is but the story had distinctive differences in the looks and SS got it right for the most part with the gladiator and King hulk standing statues. Adding a King Hulk head on a Planet Hulk body wouldn't make sense and would be a lazy way to go IMO. I am not really concerned with people complaining or not but the inaccuracy would bother a fair share of people. SS got it right with the 2 earlier statues so it appears clear that they understand the differences and didn't want to mix the subject matter.
