I love the clean simple lines if it suit the work. It's refreshing not to have a f-ton of things to look at sometimes. Chris Bachalo is hard for me to enjoy at times because he has so much going. He doesn't leave a lot of space between characters or backgrounds and while cool, it's not my favorite because it's just an onslaught of shapes.

For a gifted artist this would be a doodle, or at most the outline for an unfinished piece, or the type of stuff that shows up in comics these days. Doodle.
Nothing wrong with liking doodles. Many a doodle dandy has sold for some crazy dollars. Something for every wall or wallet.
Maybe I will try and sell my doodles too.

This work is done with colored pencils on paper, that is about the same, and the same materials, which in kindergarten trying to output the first letter.
