Seriously though, this head sculpt doesn't look good from this angle and I'm starting to feel perhaps the slightly open mouth version we saw a while back is the way to go. I see it is a Prime 1 exclusive, so I hope us in North America find a way to get it.

It's worth mentioning if you head over to Prime 1's Facebook page they uploaded a bunch of pictures of both versions.

Looks like they are sticking with the closed mouth being wrong. The open mouth version looks good but the head on the closed mouth version is not right. It even looks slightly comical from certain angles.

Looking at this brings me back a terrible memory:

Oh that was the single worst moment in the entire franchise, by far

Open mouth looks a lot better imo, although I quite liked the half open one we saw a little while back. Regardless, this one has always looked weirdly off center to me. I get their thinking in that they have aimed to have the same amount of raptor sticking off either side of the base. But her long tail has left her standing awkwardly to one side. I'd shift the whole Raptor to the right a bit personally.

If I can find a little money in between buying their Aliens & Predators, I'd go for the attack version I think.

I will probably get the open mouth version. I am surprised the attack pose did not release at the same time. I really want that one, too.

I saw the post on Prime1 say it was exclusive to their site.

These are accurate to the full animatronics, not the CGI models and the suits that are slightly different in design.

No the way they have closed up the mouth is inaccurate. The jaws should meet in almost perfect alignment. There should be no overlap of the lips as there is on the T.Rex and other dino designs. Granted it’s a subtle inaccuracy and only the hardcore fans will recognise what I’m talking about. If you look at the Iron Studios’ raptor jaw alignment, they practically nailed it...
