Sure they will call them something else in this ignorant politically correct environment. A couple people that don’t even watch the show would flip the first time a black Padawan had a white master. The opposite would be fine though.

Slaves are part of Star Wars, Darth Vader was a slave. I feel like we put every fictional story through a US Current Year lens.
"Stormtroopers" has some pretty dark ties if one wants to make that connection to our world.

Agreed, slaves are a part of the Star Wars canon (unless Disney are planning on retconning that). Also, slavery is not synonymous with African Americans, assuming this was the reason for the name change.
I understand that a large portion of the Star Wars fanbase are children, but I don't think that necessarily means having to make it child friendly. Besides, who is to say what is child friendly these days?
Lastly, sometimes you have to show the bad to distinguish it from the good.

Boba Fett murders people for money as a bounty hunter. He's not really meant to be a hero. The fact he'd be involved with slavers like Jaba shouldn't be a surprise.
Kids dress as Vader who committed atrocities (massacred villages, wiped out younglings, genocide of Alderaan, general murder of those he could easily spare).
