Luther: the fallen sun 7/10

Andy Serkis plays a pretty creepy bad guy.

They deserve that loss. This was terrible. And sad.

Speaking of Serkis, I wish his Klaue character hadn't been killed off in the first Black Panther film...I was bummed, he was so fun to watch, and hilarious.

I've heard good things about Scream 6, I'm gonna have to watch it.

I was in high school when the first Scream movies came out, went to the theatre to watch it with friends. Those first set of movies have memories associated with them, which helped that the movies were so good.

Scream VI - 7/10 Really enjoyed this despite being the first movie with no Sidney. I had a few nitpicks, but overall, a great entry to the franchise.

Causeway (2022) - A US soldier suffers a traumatic brain injury while fighting in Afghanistan and struggles to adjust to life back home.

This was a nice, quiet movie. No high stakes, it's just about two people starting a friendship. And at 94 minutes long, it's relatively brief in this era of 2.5 - 3-hour films. 7/10

The Quiet Girl (2022) - Rural Ireland 1981. A quiet, neglected girl is sent away from her dysfunctional family to live with foster parents for the summer. She blossoms in their care, but in this house where there are meant to be no secrets, she discovers one.

Another low-key, but moving film that doesn't overstay it's welcome at 96 minutes. 8/10

Paris - I'm amazed at the amount of films you take in. Do you watch TV shows or are movies your go-to?
