Gandalf revisited
Originally, I had done this painting with a washy green background. I was happy with the portrait but the whole image just didn't have the pizazz I was looking for. I decided to re-paint the background and just kept going into Gandalf himself...I'm a little more satisfied with it now. Here's the pic.....You can follow the link to see the 1st version.

Beautiful work, McHaley. I agree with you that the new version is better. Much more stiking. Great job on the likeness. In watercolors no less. Very tricky medium.
