Got an F4F person posting here, that's more interaction then most companies even have!

i meant for the contests and things they do on their site. can't even vote in the polls unless you're in the facebook group.

Their contests rely heavily on using social features, which people love, so the odds of doing one on the forum are zero. I'm not a huge fan of modifying my behavior for the sake of winning a useless toy.

I remember the time when Sideshow's Spooktaculars were not done on social media, but rather on a live chat they rolled out on their own for that event. There were also some highly creative contests where you'd have to find hidden clues around the Sideshow website, including on product pages. The Halloween theming was different each year, and very charming. Something changed in the management or crew that they just don't have it in them anymore.

I still like that F4F takes risks in their statues, but their marketing is very middle of the road vanilla, as with everyone else.

Statue business model depends on attracting new casuals not retention of diehards.

Really that seems to be the business model for everything these days from restaurants to retailers-all breadth little depth.
