What DSLR Cannon lens?

DSLR owners especially Canon user what lens do you use when snapping away at your new statues?

I'm more of a landscape guy but you would probably be looking for something in the portrait range, around 100mm with a wide aperture, f2.8 or close would be idea, consider it the same as portraits of people.
Desert dragon is the man for inspiration, look up some of his pictures on the forum...the guy is amazing

Asgard obviously types faster than me ...

As mentioned above, a portrait lens range (85-105mm). lower than 50mm will start to give you the typical wider angle perspective you want to avoid when photographing statues.

I would make sure it's a 'macro' lens, which means you can get an subject projected 1:1 on your sensor. It gives you a chance to get some nice closeup shots.

Sigma makes lenses that fit your Canon too, I got the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro, which I used to shoot these insects:
