Yeah, if you're doing old covers you'd have to find those that are doable, obviously. Here's one that I think is workable. I think coming up with ideas that weren't actually covers might be even more fun.
Looking through the covers, yeah, there might be one or two I could do. Thanks for the idea!

Muddy Batman

For these, I wanted moody lighting and went with a single light source from above, like on an operating table! At some point I may do one with a background.

I think the paint app on this Muddy version is what makes it unique. These photos don't really showcase that, but the cape is outstanding too.

Terrific pictures!

Did you do anything to place more shine on the suit or is that just the normal sheen?

Thanks, Jeremy!

No, I didn't add any shine. The paint isn't completely matte so it has a little sheen, but the direct light causes it. Normally I try to reduce or eliminate it, but in this case it helps create the dramatic contrast with stark shadows and bright lighting.

Apologies for the lack of new material. Just have some life stuff in the way that hopefully will be taken care of soon. I’m also in the process of shifting over to a different photo editing software to avoid that Adobe subscription fee. I just have to go slow and make sure I don’t ruin anything I’ve already done and continue with my current workflow.

Started with something simple to get back into the game, another in my Portraits series. Tried to cast a green light on her a new way, but couldn't get it to work, so I went back to the old way.
