The UFC just purchased Strikeforce

why worry about competition when you can just buy them. Crazy!

well...I guess the dream of seeing Fedor fight in the UFC is now a real possibility, unless he really does retire!

Won't happen. Strikeforce is being run as a separate entity and M-1 had a clause in Fedor's contract that allows him out of the deal if Strikeforce changes hands.
It'll be interesting to see if Daley gets served his walkin' papers, though.

They are seperate.....for now. Once the Showtime deal expires I'm sure there will be some type of merger with the UFC.

Fedor should just give in, The UFC owns all of his fight videos now anyway.

I'm actually not a big fan of Zuffa buying everybody out, myself. MMA is already in the process of being renamed "Ultimate Fighting", and that's just wrong.
When the fans have more than one choice, it brings out the best in the organizations involved, but when it's just one organization, you're stuck with what they give you.
And yes, I miss Pride.
