It seems to be an amalgam, but primarily from Kubert's XMen 24 cover.
What will make/break this piece for me is that energy effect in the teaser. Either that needs to not be there at all OR optional display.

I wonder if they will have the energy background for 1/5 and remove it for 1/4 like the fastball special. I'm so excited her legs are up like the Kubert Cover to make her look like she is flying. I don't mind the change to them not about to kiss, just because this way its easier to view both of their faces and it looks like they are making it more playful vs intimate.
Looking closer it looks like that energy arc could be in the shape of a spade, not a heart, like I originally thought.

Loved this. What a great family pic (maybe not in the cartoon so much, but if it were the comics). Also, the calm before the storm. This episode went nuts. Great example of how to make changes in an adaptation if you’re going to adapt something and make changes from the original story. These 3 weren’t even in the original main story but the cartoon pulled it off.
