Vampirella (2011) PF (..with art print)(..with Ex portrait)
After nearly 1 month in transit, Vampirella arrived, today in fact, and I absolutely think that the piece looks great!
I have wanted a 1/4 scale Vampirella for quite some time and figured the 2011 piece from Sideshow is possibly the
best statue on the market, used market at least.
I was lucky Vampirella did not arrived broken, as the seller had not taped the two halves of the polystyrene/Styrofoam.
While all the various components were wrapped in paper, neither portrait was wrapped in paper or plastic bag. Anxiety over.
Both Reg and Ex portrait look great. No sign of wonky eye?s. Black paint on eyelids looks sharp. The long wavy hair shows
zero signs of graining (small particles). Paint on the lips is sharp and were shaded. Compared to the recent Sideshow Power
Girl PF, Vampirella shows just how much better some pieces are from the past when it comes to the factory production piece.
As with the portrait, the finger nails are really well painted.
The mixed media red outfit works well. I have to admit, I would have preferred fully sculpted.
The base.. is what it is, a large skull featuring a number of smaller skulls, some bones and a rat. All the skulls look well painted.
The section below the skull on which everything sits looks ok, and is quite light in weight. No complaints with regards to the base.
If i wanted to be hyper-picky, i might mention the gold sections on both arms could use slightly better gold paint application.
All in all, super happy with the statue. This Vampirella is a bit of a grail piece, for me atleast
