My "Zorceror of Zo" illos

There's some really great stuff posted in here by you guys! I just received permission to repost a few of my spot illustrations, so I thought I'd share the love (although I'm going to have to work a lot harder to keep up with all y'all). All images owned by the luverly Atomic Sock Monkey Press.

These are a few of my illos from a small-press RPG (role-playing game), The Zantabulous Zorceror of Zo, written by my good friend, Chad Underkoffler. Chad's written some kick-a$$ stuff for Steve Jackson Games (GURPS) and Atlas Games (Unknown Armies), and he's now into putting his own stuff together. Zorceror of Zo was an effort to be a source book and to document how our group assembled an RPG game and then went about playing it (kinda like Aaron Allston's Strike Force supplement for Champions, for those of you old enough to remember that book). The game itself is a mash-up of all things fairytale, from DC's Fables to Oz to Willy Wonka to the Island of Misfit Toys.

I played a furniture-chomping crocodile-man, while my friend Andy played a magic-wielding fourth Little Pig who heaped abuse on his poor mouse "man servant". (Together, they fight crime!) We had a blast, and hopefully the love for the characters came through in the illos.

Horace Hogg, the Fourth Little Pig:

The Wickerwalker, a mysterious creature(?) who stalks the forests of Azul:

Thanks for looking!

Sorry for the slow response; I haven't had much chance to check in on SF lately.

Not really "mine" per se, but I had a hand in designing the setting and playing in the documented campaign. It's definitely been interesting seeing some of the parallels of the comic book indie press to the small press RPG world.

Thanks! Chad let me play with the Wickerwalker design a little, and I thought it would be interesting to have a mysterious "Pinocchio" puppet have its own lumbering monstrosity of a puppet, kind of like a low-tech Gundam.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys!
