A Byrne-style Doom would be perfect...

A sculpture cape on this would have worked just fine. It just hangs, so it’s not a space sucker. I get why Storm or other flying characters may need posable ones, but Doom could have (and should have) been sculpted.

100%, If they had to go mixed media, I would at least like it to be closer to Old School Loki PF which doesn't have the posing wires and just hangs straight. I hate posable capes, the wire drives me nuts and it also over time will begin to poke through the fabric...ie Breaker of Brimstone...I hate the cape.

Yes! I have the second EX Doom PF. I love the old school portrait on it. IMO, it's a solid Doom statue. For me personally, its biggest drawbacks are a weak base and the cloth elements. As much as I like the 2nd PF, I do wish it was fully sculpted.

I regret buying the 2nd PF. It’s an ok statue but sure wasn’t worth the hype. This one is my last Doom. I have no need to continue buying the same character. It checks most of the boxes that I like about it.

I would have to agree with most of you here. This piece would have been over the top if it came with a sculpted cape. Although the material is nice, you can only pose from the bottom of the cape. I think if I had to pay full price I might have not been so quick to purchase. Either way here are a few more pics from a few different angles.

Also have that PF. The hood was a pain in the butt to try to get just right. Still need to adjust it a little. I'd probably have passed on this Doom, but he's my all-time favorite villain. Him, Mags, and Joker are my top 3 and I'll end up having at least 2 statues of each of them. Really wish someone like Hot Toys made a 1/6th comic accurate Doom figure.

Going by the pics and what I saw from the SDCC 22 vids, his costume looks a little more green than it did last year when he was initially revealed.
