SUPERMAN 1:4 SCALE MUSEUM QUALITY Statue
(sorry about the CAPS - that is the way they did their title)
Just curious what people thought about this piece?
Love it? Like it? Don't care? Dislike it? Will you buy it?

I've heard a lot about the Superman Forever #1
statue, but I've not heard much about this one.

I think if you're going to have the neck that long then you need a bigger trapezius.
Looks nice overall though.

Not a real fan of mixed media.
I mean. It's not like you can take costume off and wear it.
The costume and body look good. But that face??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
What happened?????

I agree with Nightwinger, mixed media just doesn't do it for me. I understand the cape could be a problem so that's acceptable but the rest just looks like an action figure from the 70's.
And what's with the pose?
I'm still trying to figure out what "museum quality" acutally means?
I'll probablly end up getting it anyway.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Don't like it at all. The mixed media looks bad, and his face does kind of resemble Kimmel. Yikes! I'll be waiting for a certain 1/4 scale Ross Supes commission.

The face kills it for me. It looks like they were trying something like Sideshow Collectibles did with the Premium Format, e.g. Wolverine, , Punisher, Electra, Spider-Man and Hulk.
But, in my opinion, it didn't turn out as well. I sort of like the body, but the neck and head and face are so bad, in my opinion, that I can't see spending that much to get it. They should have gone down the route of basing the sculpture on some well known Superman comic artist so that the face would resemble some Superman we've seen in the comics. I don't see any resemblence to any Superman comic.

I started a thread about this awhile back when it was first announced with a smaller picture. I did a search for it but couldn't find it. My first thoughts back then were that it looked like Kimmel as well and not as nice as a Sideshow piece. I would have to see it in person before I would buy it.
