Hello,

I'm a newbie, well, pretty much. I had a lump of old victory brown from way back and decided to try something different. Still a little rough. She'll be clothed somewhere down the line. Now that I've gotten to this point, I'm wondering just how I'm going to cast this sculpture. It's 10" tall. I know I have to cast the arms separately, but the sword is so thin, I don't know how to cast it. I don't have any kind of vaccuum or pressure pot, so I don't know how to get the resin into the fine details. I'm planning on using Mold Star 15. I was wondering if I got the mold to vibrating as I poured the Mold Star if that might help to get the rubber in the fine details. Or if I should try to 'paint' the rubber onto the tiny details first, then pour the rest into the mold.

Oh, in case you're wondering, I was trying for a more realistic figure rather than an idealistic one. So, for instance, the figure is only 7 heads tall as is the average woman (or so I've read). But I think, done right, an 'average' woman can be attractive as well. Hope you all like it.

Try making a mold of the sword and injecting it under slight pressure with a catheter tip syringe

I've done this with good results before just make sure there are adequate vents or you'll blow out the mold.

There are many sizes to fit your needs.
You may find these locally at a medical supply place or even an exotic bird store ()they're used for feeding baby birds too.).
OR, here's an Amazon link:
