Hi I'm a digital artist who is totally new to 3D Sculpting and I was wondering what a good sculpting program would be to use on a mac? I want it to be simple to use but have the ability to produce a 3D sculpture.

Also i was wondering are there companies out there that prototype or produce small runs of something which is digitally sculpted?

thanks heaps

I think Zbrush is what is mainly used for the digital sculptures around here. Great program. You can check out cgsociety.org and other sites like that to see what people are using.

Mud Box or sculpt tris both do basically the same thing as well, although I'm not too sure about the compatibility with a Mac.

Zbrush hands down. They have a STL plugin which is what you need and can decimate.
