I know this won't be popular but I wish this Guyver Line was 1:6 instead of 1:4, they would be a lot easier to display and more affordable, I'm sure Guyver 3 will have a massive base and probably be close to $1000 as well.

This is THE line for me, this is what I've been waiting for since i started collecting, ever since i sold all my figures and moved into statues ( well over 10 years ago ), the hardest ones to let go of were my Max Factory Biofighter collection and now it's finally come round...

With Kinnikuman and HNK too....Prime 1 are killing it, and not only are they getting the licenses, they are KILLING it with how these things look, no cutting corners, no holding back! It's what these licenses deserve!

You should really watch the first 6 episodes of the 90's OVA (the animation for the last 6 was sh!t) and then make your way to the later series that covers more of the Manga.

I thought they would save the 1 megasmasher open look for G3 it's always been Agitos thing not Sho's.

But yeah some sort of "superior" looking pose would be perfect for G3.

If they go the switch out torso route again i'd go for a normal HFS look ( especially if he's on Zerbebuth sliced up ) and then the swap out to be the arms crossed look.

I'm happy with no switch outs because it keeps the price reasonable and to be honest with those long HFS on it doesn't need anything else, it looks ----ing stunning.

I must admit the base is just as important as 0, i know it shouldn't be but it makes the piece overall, it makes the piece so epic!

I'd suggest reading the manga or watching the anime and making that decision for yourself to be honest....

But the "blue one" aka Guyver 1 is the main character of the show, while this one, Guyver 0 appears for mearly seconds/a few pages...this is a real fan piece to appeal to true fans of the series because no way is a casual fan dropping 900 bucks on him.

It's real gamble for Prime 1 to do him and do him this this big and bold.

It does worry me a little as Sho is supposed to be small even in the armour at around 5'9, i want to see that height difference between him and G3.

Actually if you cut him from the pic and move him next to the BB hunter hes about the same size not including his head crest....that's with the BB hunter in a slightly hunched pose and slightly further away from where the picture was taken.

I will say he looks bulky on this pic but on the official pics he looks slender as he should....the base looks HUGE. But pictures/angles/lighting man they change a lot of s--t lol ;)

120 seems legit - it says 120 numerically even in the untranslated page. I'm not so great with the hiragana and especially kanji, but it does say "statue" in katakana in the same sentence. :)

I do find it odd they have done G0 before G2, i think there are some G0 fans at P1 or they just came up with the concept of the TRex base and thought "we have to do this now".

I hope they save G2 for later in the line i would like to get some Zoanoid/Zoalords to break it up, getting all 4 Guyvers ( not including Gigantic & G2F ) would be cool but then we'd just be getting Zoanoid/Zoaords from then on, i hope they mix it up. a bit.

I don't see the point in doing 1/3 scale when they are doing 1/4 stuff so big, i think everyone would prefer a huge base with a slaughtered zoanoid on it in 1/4 than a plain base with a character in 1/3 right?

Vs Dioramas would be cool but really the 1/4 stuff they have done with the amazing bases are pretty much dioramas anyway.

I hope they just stick to 1/4 as they have done nothing but impress so far.......except for Gigantic Dark lol.

Prime 1's Guyver 1 is so great they could print it at 1/3 and I'd happily pay the price. Easier to do light ups eyes and chrome.

Extra details be damned. The sculpts already have more detail than what can be accurately cast at 1/4.

This and their Berserk are instant classics.

Read the Manga, the animes while fine aren't anywhere near accurate enough to the Manga ( the 2005 anime is much closer though ) and it's freely available online up to a point.

The original 12 part OVA while visceral and of the time, it's not really accurate to the manga, it's great don't get me wrong but if you want the full story Manga is the way to go.

To be honest there's so little Guyver stuff around i'd suggest just watch/read it all.

I mean once you've watched the out of control OVA, the 12 part OVA, the 26 ep anime series and the 2 movies ( if you dare ) that's it for anything to watch.

What concerned me on G1 was the meat/muscle parts being a bright purple, i really hope they tone that down a bit.

And yeah the neck seam on Ramotith isnt great but i'm sure that's just because its a proto.

Otherwise it looks fantastic, as do Suguru and Robin.

P1 getting all my money recently i hope they don't let me down, I'll find out with Ultraman hopefully by the end of the year.

I just wanted to report back that I watched the first episode yesterday and enjoyed it! Admittedly some of that enjoyment came from listening to the horrible dub, which prompted my wife to give me some weird looks while I was watching it.

Guyver 1 is probably the next P1 piece I will preorder if I decide to make another order - a Sideshow coupon like the recent $50 one might make me cave. I'll probably wait until after SDCC and WF though, just to see where things stand after the new reveals. It'd be sweet having him with Guyver 3 though... that one looks particularly awesome.

EDIT: I just watched episodes 2 and 3, and I couldn't stop laughing when Guyot (I think) spoke! Amusingly I think he becomes the one character that I have a Max Factory figure of - I picked it up for cheap when visiting HK like a decade ago just because I thought it looked awesome. I don't know if he's popular at all, but a P1 statue of him would probably be amazing.

I'd say of all the Zoalords, Guyot is probably the most likely to get the P1 treatment. Really important character in the story that repeatedly interacts with Sho & co. Really hope they do Alkanphel as well.

I am definitely doing that. It's either out on display or boxed up forever. Switching them out easily once in a while could be cool.

I'm still not sold on the brick and mortar bases on both of them tbh, i understand they want to keep the bases uniform with the unit style bases and i know they are huge so they want to keep the base details down but it just looks odd having a bit of wall behind them....

Little surprised at the gregole base but damn happy to see the switch out crossed arms bust!

I must say after staring at this for another 15 mins, the HF Sword pose doesn't look great, his arms look too close to his body....

I think it should have been a pose to show off the length of those double HFS and gave the statue some width.

Hopefully i feel different when hes in hand because i would like to switch them out but for now i'm super glad to have the crossed arms pose.

Also while it's great to have Gregole on the base, i would have liked to have seen Zerbubuth because i think the red is a great contrast with the dark colours of G3, i know Zerbubuth is huge so maybe that was the reason.....but then again that didn't stop them putting a Trex head on the G0 base lol.

The fist pump pose is getting over used with this line, It looks great on G1 but Aptom has it and now G3, looks like they have changed Gigantic's arm pose from the fist pump to both arms down so I think P1 realize the poses are too similar.

i agree with this as well. there's something just not quite right about the coloring and matte finish. not quite the guyver III i remember. the base and the folded arms are very cool tho.

still it's not enough to convince me to order. pales in comparison to guyver I imo. and this really should have been the best one so far. sadly has me rethinking this line a little. so excited for guyver I tho!

In the manga and anime(2005) pretty different Zerbebuth will be upgrade to a Hyper Zoanoid. I believe will get kill by Female Guyver. I believe they are currently working in Female guyver with death Zerbebuth.

while i think the base on guyver 0 is a little too much i like the bases on all the other statues. it really gives a lot of context and a taste of this world with huge outrageous monsters. having dismembered zoanoids on the base is one of the things i like most about these, they will be total statement pieces and things you can look at for a long time without becoming board - imo

yeah i guess i should have clarified, that is a fair critique - it has limited the statues i can get from the line. at the same time though i personally really like the bases even though it does limit which ones i can get if that makes sense. given the choice even now i would still go with the large zoanoid base vs guyver only just because i think it adds so much - but again thats totally personal prefrence

My 1st flexi started on Guyver 0 beginning of this month and i have 2 left on Ultimate Guyver 1.....a 23 year old dream is coming true soon :D

Regarding the bases i personally despite how much i love/adore/worship the Guyver wouldn't drop $800 on a gregole statue or a Ramchiss so incorporating them into the bases of the main characters i think is a fantastic move.

If Prime1 do do Zoanoids, i want the Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 all on slightly smaller bases but all five interconnect with Zx-Tole in the middle.

That's definitely the con but every time I look at my PCS 1/3's I wish I could biggie size all my statues with the added detail too.

Worth the trade off IMO and most my 1/4 scales have nearly the footprint of most 1/3s anyways.

I've had that on a couple of Prime pieces recently when they announced all the delays but when it comes to SS pieces it's always been a few days or a week before.

Hopefully since G1 wasn't included in all the recent P1 delays he's on course for July at the latest :)

It's already at 32 inches tall at 1/4. >_<

I'm super happy they are 1/4, i'll take 1/4 over any other scale anyway but give me a 1/4 Zoanoid base with a 1/4 Guyver over 1/3 Guyver with smaller base ANY TIME!

Very true but I'm not implying compromises for these particular ones I like them so much I'll take a 1/3 Zoanoid base WITH a 1/3 Guyver.

Kinda was expecting this but Sideshow just sent me a bunch of prime 1 delay e-mails and Guyver 1 is now delayed to September -October....

Bit of a double edged sword as i have so much shipping in July & August anyway but the wait is going to KILL ME!

I am considering dropping this one sadly, after getting Guts and just seeing how huge it was I have limited space for statues in this scale, and overall I'm a bigger fan of Berserk then Guyver (actually prefer the live action movie suit vs the anime when it comes to Guyver).

So might cancel it and then put that money toward the Berserk diorama that they talked about.

Haha! I just hate not knowing when i'm gonna have money coming out, i like to get a statue paid for and shipped then i know the next month i can add something else to a payment plan and get started on that....every delay puts me behind.

I guess i should have said i don't mind waiting :) waited all my life for Guyver collectibles like this, whats another few months? ;)

I dig that. I try to save up enough in my savings account to pay for all my preorders. Although, the longer stuff gets delayed, the more reason I find to dig into that savings for other things. Well, the more things my wife finds reason to dig in at least.

He looks great but i still think the arms crossed torso is the only way to go so far, none of the other arm poses on the normal torso are setting my world on fire at the moment....

Also think he still looks a little thick....but minor quibbles.

Looks amazing paired up with G1 and the bases look great....maybe could have done with less concrete on the G3 base but again minor quibbles.

Yes One of the mods on their FB said no more Guyver POs until 1 or 2 pieces form the license get delivered.

I'm not sure what case would fit Guyver 1, maybe someone else on the forum can help.

I've wanted a Proto Zoalord Murakami from this line as soon as Prime 1 announced it. I'd have preferred him over the Guyver Gigantics.

Judging by how varied the line is I’m sure he’ll eventually pop up, along with Guyver II hopefully.

Would’ve preferred Aptom’s forth form over Omegablast, though his Chaos and Evil forms would make for crazy statues too! Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 with Guyver laying defeated on the base would be another cool one!

I kinda forget about Murakami now and then lol, he's been Imakarum for so long now lol, but yes an Enzyme 2 base, neck snapped or sliced up and then Murakami on top in proto-zoalord form, hand raised charging the energy in his hand.....oh my, make it now Prime 1!

The Max Factory figure is hard to find so an Imakarum statue would be great! I just prefer the first form for nostalgia’s sake. The first time I saw Murakami vs the Enzyme 2s as a kid it blew my mind. Yes! Energy hand charge, or the knuckle to knuckle energy slicers pose would be an instant buy!

Seeing all these Guyver pieces again makes me hope for a potential reboot of the franchise. Fingers crossed!!
