I was expecting $1100......$1250 is pretty pricey and while i appreciate the extra arms they will be left int he box...like i said above i like the normal standing pose over the arms folded.....might see what the reg is priced at....

I've got a feeling this is the last we will see of the Guyvers from Prime 1, Guyver 2 at $1K+ will be a hard sell, I also think they will struggle to sell the G1 Gigantic as well, Gigantic Dark is still available with an ES of 250, and I'm pretty sure Aptom has been scrapped.

Well Guyver 0 was only ( lol only ) $899 and that's got a HUGE crazy base and no swap outs....so if they went with a more reserved base for Guyver 2 and no or minimal swap outs i think they could make him happen for $799....

If we look at the recent Geralt at $749 and Eileen The Crow at $799 both are crazy detailed intricate pieces while the Guyvers are relatively simple in comparison without the insane bases.....

I think if they did do another Guyver though it would be 2F at this point.

I really hope Aptom does make it, to have him in anyform would be fantastic....Form 4 probably would have been a better choice still.

To get Guyot in Zoalord form or Murakami would be amazing and a change from what's been done so far....Guyot with the remover and attachable armour like the Biofighter figure would be amazing.....and Murakami with an Enzyme 2 base pretty much designs itself lol.

I haven't picked up Gigantic Dark just because i'm not feeling it, i think the EX is great but i can't get on with those woeful bases for it and Gigantic....something to pick up after release....

I'd have no problem them doing characters like Murakami and Guyver 2 with simpler bases and no swapouts for a lower price point as long as we got them....

I couldn't disagree more about Aptom, Evil Form Aptom wasn't a good design and was very brief, definitely not something i would have been happy with as the one and only Aptom form, i'll take Omegablast any day over Evil.

And Guyver 0 while yes maybe unnecessary so early in the line and probably shouldn't have been made before G2 or other characters.....i think is a great concept and just looks amazing, i think people don't get how big and impressive it's going to be lol....also it's a pretty ----ing great moment in the Manga.....i'm just as excited for G0 as G1 and 3.

Regular is 999$ just dont be fool the looking guyver is taller and bigger and also greygole is much bigger than ramotith. I saw the statue overall much bigger in general and you got much more exchange parts.

My point is the bust is adding on $250 to this and if i don't want to display the bust or the folded arms pose i can save $250.....leading up to this i was all about the crossed arms pose but seeing it on the body i'm not sure it works as well as the other poses...

I got time to think i never pre-order until the Payment plans kick in on SS anyway so i've got 5 -6 months yet :)

Still think the picture i posted above is the best he's looking, works better with G1 too for me.

I think what it is i like is them with the HF Blades out, it adds so much to the silhouette which i slightly lost with the folded arms.

You can switch the heads....because as nice as a nod to the artwork the exposed face head is i won't be displaying it on the statue.

I personally think the Megasmasher pose is worth it with G1....the normal pose with the extended HFS is cool too though and i can totally see your POV as i'm kinda looking at G3 like that too.

I think the fact the torso can be displayed as a bust and you can display all the parts pretty much is something that appeals because like you i hate a bunch of pieces being left int he box.

So I've only unboxed the base right now and I just gotta say that I underestimated where this will fit in my display area. All the paint applications look very clean. The tree trunk and rock faces have a cartoony/anime style to them. I'm surprised at how much blood there is actually. It looks very wet and quite gruesome. I especially like the mouth and teeth on the zoanoid.

You can really see it dripping here along with some of the entrails. I'd say this is a big win even without the mega smasher but if you'really a huge fan from way back I'd get the ultimate while you can.

On point, as usual, qz. I think it's a widely acknowledged truth that is rarely brought up.

Statues are their own medium. Take for instance the the PCS Mortal Kombat Kintaro - infinitely better than the original stop-motion clay model used in the game. I don't have the will right now to play through MK2 again to appreciate an unplayable boss. It's a complete remaster of a goofy, but decent character concept. The statue can become the definitive rendition of a character.

Prime 1 has knocked one after the other out of the park. I'm limiting the possibilities in my collection when sticking to only the familiar stuff (DC, MK, SF, TF..)which has been done many times by many vendors. These Guyvers are highly unlikely to be topped, because not only who would bother, but who else can? I have to rethink my collecting plans some more.

I've got the MG 3.0 and I didn't like that old PG.

Though honestly I don't even know if I'd get it, as I'm a bigger fan of the Seed Suits, and I don't think I've watched all the Origin episodes yet.

If I get any Mecha statue it should've been the Macross/Robotech one, but before I knew it, the preorder was sold out at my local retailer. But then again it was the footprint that really held me back.

Yeah the tree seam is unfortunate, some paint in a couple of tiny areas could be better but we're talking an 8 instead of a 10....the whole thing has so much impact that you kinda don't care though lol

Flip between Megasmasher and this pose below...actually pretty similar similar but both equally excellent...I do prefer the Megasmasher pose with un-extended HFSs though, makes more sense to me.

Due to the twist in his body and the placement of his right arm you can't get the classic silhouette either which kind of sucks....i'm a real sucker for just straight on, arms at the side with the HFS extended.....which is my preferred pose for G3 at this point...

I'm not gonna lie i'm a HUGE Guyver fan so even if this was a 7/10 piece i'd probably still be fangirling all over it lo.....but i truly think it's a 9.5/10 piece.

I just want Prime 1 to keep getting those licenses because when they make pieces like this and everything else i have on PO and it's so well produced...i'm more than happy to give them all my money.

I've had some great stuff this year but yes for me it's probably this or Mortighull so far....

But then things like Shibumi from XM and Mugen from F4F are nipping at their heels, very different statues the 4 of them but all equally impressive in some way.

YES. i think thanos on throne might be the "favorite contender" but i have it, its nice - this is next level

i unboxed mine last night, i think it may be my favorite production statue yet. there is no way to adequately describe how incredibly awesome this statue is, its literally everything i was hoping it to be from the time i saw the first tease. very satisfying unboxing experience, so much fun with all the switch outs and deciding which set up i like best (there are no bad options)

paint - 10/10
sculpt - 12/10
design - 9.5/10 - tree seam is not ideal but after the statue is assembled you have to go out of your way to notice it. could have been done better though and i would have preferred either an additional fully masked portrait or one in place of the half masked portrait

I think Zerbebuth was originally planned to be on Guyver 3's base but they changed their minds and went with Gregole, in the anime it's G3 who slices Zerbebuth in half so that's probably why they first went with that idea.

G2 fight is pretty short to be honest, but the G1 Vs G3 fight is pretty epic! Especially because they are both at that point in complete control of the units and pretty much equals. They could do some cool pressure cannon poses and effects, could be an epic dio!

They really do need to let people get a couple before they do that.

1 is out worldwide.

0 is out in China and will probably ship this month for the ROW.

Gigantic Dark is shipping in China and is down to ship Jan-Mar from Sideshow.

Only Guyver 3 is up for order now.

Aptom was shown right at the beginning, before the Gigantics, before Guyver 3, it's time to get him up for order.

Holy ---- guys lol.

It's amazing. Just amazing. It's huge of course, the T Rex head is outstanding, the translucent resin used in the mouth and for the teeth is just amazing.

G0 himself is just in the PERFECT pose, that real bad ass "yeah just killed a Trex so what" swagger...extended high frequency swords and boom....perfect.

I dare not put it in my usual photography place guys because of the weight so i'm gonna throw some phone pics up and then i'll do a video review and do pics at a later date or improvise we'll see.

But wow worth every single penny of that $899 + $260 shipping!

Everything but the Gigantics as i think they are so lackluster and don't warrant the space they would take up.

Guyver 3 is on order of course and i really really want them to produce Aptom....the fact that Ultra 7 went up for order recently gives me hope that Aptom will make it as they we're shown pretty much at the same time way back when.

Also i just hope they continue to make more pieces...because they showed so much off so fast it feels like we haven't seen anything new for a while.... and we all know there's lots more they could do :)

I've been on the P1 Guyver fence since these were first revealed. Pricey and the potential to start collecting more or more anime based statues stayed my hand. Ironically, it's the amazing pictures of this G0 that has now pushed me to get G1. I am sure G3 won't be far behind but I'll try to resist. So yeah, thanks for that DGK. :p

I should be receiving Guyver 1 this week. The anticipation for finally owning a high quality Guyver collectible and my first Prime 1 piece made me want to revisit the series. I had only ever seen the original 1989 OVA series and the 2 live action films. So it was a super nice surprise to find out there was also a 26 part series from 2005. Cannot believe I didn't know about the 2005 series. Binged that in a coupe of nights and I wish there was more. I don't see how I can avoid ordering G3 now.

I am absolutely in love with this thing. Not only is Prime 1's craftsmanship on a level I have yet to experience until now but this sculpt is friggin amazing.

I prefer to take pictures in natural light, but I couldn't wait until the following day and I was too lazy to bust out the ladder to replace the bulb that went out in living room. So as you can see from the pic above I just played around with shadows:

Agreed. I had to pack it back up since I'm moving in a couple of weeks but I really didn't want to. Still haven't decided what switch out combination I'm going to end up with. For that reason I love that it comes with the bust. Even that thing has great presence.

They just didn't do enough for me, especially compared to the amazing concepts for the normal Guyvers.
