Despite how others may feel, I really don't think anyone here wants to be seen as the turd in the punchbowl.

FWIW, I think Chad was spot on with the belt change. I think the circular design (a nod to Craig's outfit?) is just aesthetically more pleasing. But again, I'm happy the fans that didn't like it can get what they wanted in the Ex.

The Reg (including Chad's belt) is exactly how I would display this.

The red purse should go with the black outfit, so unless Chad mentions something along the lines of the Lynda Carter swap-outs, I only need the Reg of this statue.

While I was a little surprised when the blue wasn't the same, the more I looked I totally understood the choices made regarding all of the colors. Batgirl is my favorite character and this is by far the best rendition of this version of the character made to date. Super excited to add her to my growing TH SP collection. I see myself buying any variations as well.

If I lived in a US, I would have done so too :( There is not much price difference (extra I am willing to pay to show support) buying from other distributor and buying direct from Tweeterhead if you live in US.

But for an international customer, sideshow’s slightly cheaper Shipping rate, no conversion fee, discount codes from purchases and reward points makes it much cheaper to order through them. So, I only decided to buy direct from TH only for must have EX or for my favorite characters/line I really want to show support.

Saw on the FB video how the upper/lower torso mates to the belt. The recess looked kinda shallow and Chad's belt buckle won't be an issue. The concern is with the new bat buckle where more of the waste is exposed because of the bat wings if that would allow any waist seam to show. I'm pretty sure they factored this into the design, but I'd like to just throw it out there just in case as a word of caution. Just my engineering thoughts were kicking in :)

I am not sure but I think it'll replace the oval on the regular.

People getting the regular would have been upset if the only way to get the bat buckle option was the ex and they could only get the regular. My understanding is that it's replacing what the oval buckle was offering.

I like this statue a lot and I think this Batgirl is prettier than the Catwoman one. Her billowing cape makes me nervous. Like it's going to snap clean off. Wish it were a little subtle. I may just be getting the black Batman from this collection.

Martian Manhunter's cape is larger and is attached to the body. It ships fine. Batgirl's cape is not that large.

That’s confusing. So the EX comes with three belts (reg with circle emblem, ex with red purse, and ex with comic accurate emblem)? Because I know the one with red purse comes as a separate belt and PO page just says two. I guess we won’t know for sure until she ships.

After hearing that Batgirl didn’t really sell as well as you hoped, is there a chance that you would consider having the factory paint a small quantity of the production with the bodysuit colour black like her first appearance? Might be a way to get a few extra sales and offer something super exclusive on Tweeterhead.com. I think Chad caused this bad sellings partly by himself. Now i have to pass on these, i won't order from Tweeterhead directly because the 125$ shipping for one have doubled since last Bats and with taxes this goes way to expensive.

Another thing i have noticed is, that the add to cart button on my iphone doesn't work. The cart stays empty... had an similar experience on desktop pc, but after adding newer stuff it worked and added others too... :tumblew:

According to the shipping schedule on Tweeterhead's website, Batgirl (and Green Lantern) are supposed to arrive in July. Now you do have to realize that Sideshow orders do arrive before ordering from Tweeterhead directly. The delivery schedule says "Delivery Date" and some people think that it when Chad receives the statues but since Starfire arrived a month early who knows. I would think the crate with Batgirl (and hopefully Green Lantern) should arrive in the US in July but for those of us that ordered through Tweeterhead directly we probably will not see the statues until August.

That is true but I was thinking that the statues weren’t going to be delayed since both Robin and StarFire shipped in June (though really not distributed till July because of the crate being inspected) To me that was a good sign that things would be arriving in a somewhat timely manner. Batgirl had an original release date of 4th Quarter 2019. That means she's already been delayed 8 months and counting. Since I don't have a lot of TH experience to draw upon, I'm wondering if this is a typical delay and I just "got lucky" with the other 2 statues or is this an atypical delay (due to COVID, bad luck, etc.) and most TH statues are released around their original release dates? Also wondering if I should expect the same kind of delay for Cheetah since she's the only other TH statue I currently have on pre-order.

Practically all statues get delayed. However, remember practically every country, including China, was shut down due to COVID. So you can expect delays. Cheetah is in production and as soon as Chad knows, you will know.

I can see why you would think that and other people have questioned that as well whatever Chad says that it will be shipping during a certain month is it from China or to us?

I understand why you are upset about the delays. I have no idea how long the Wonder Woman statue has been delayed so I cannot comment on that. I am sure that Batgirl would have been out (along with alot of other statues from all companies) months earlier if it had not been for the Corona Virus. We are all tired of hearing that excuse but unfortunately it is now a part of our lives and will be for probably the next year at least.

I normally never purchased my statues directly from the company and would either get them through my LCBS or from Ebay after they were released so I was not familiar with statue delays until I started to order directly from Tweeterhead (and that is not meant to be a knock against Tweeterhead) but from what I read on here statue delays are more common than not.

I got my shipping notice from from UPS that Tweeterhead created the label on Thursday and that UPS received it on Friday and that I will get it this Friday. I didn't know alot about Batgirl when I ordered but recently I bought Batgirl Year 1. A fantastic book and I have fallen in love with the character specifically this version aka Barbara Gordon. All that being said not to be that guy but aren't her eyes supposed to be green? I know its the case in Batgirl year one as its pointed out several times. Great statue but now as a budding comic snob it bothers me a little...lol Batgirl historians set me straight.

According to the DC Who's Who series which is a reference for all of the characters...at least the 80's versions of the characters when Super Powers was around.....her eyes are Blue.

Ret con maybe? because it wasn't just an artist mistake its mentioned specifically about her green eyes in the book. I also notice that post Batgirl year 1 the eyes are green in much of her media.

I've always thought her eyes were blue, but I've seen a couple instances when her eyes are green. Maybe some artists think the green eyes goes better with the red hair? Who knows. Regardless, I think the statue looks great with blue eyes, and blue eyes are what I'm used to seeing with Batgirl anyway.

I'm not knocking the statue I'm just saying its very intentional it was in no way an artist mistake. And like i said its mentioned about her eyes several times in the book. This was an artistic descension moving forward and its pretty uniform. Again no knock on this statue at all. Some examples below.

Anyone actually have Batgirl already and one of those? I know the DC Designer is considerably shorter due to the base.

The latest Sideshow Premium Format interestingly had blue for the collector's edition, green for the exclusive.

Batgirl arrived. Good news is she is an amazing piece. Bad news is left bat ear arrived broken off. I could not find the piece so it must have happened before leaving the factory. Shame as it is a spectacular piece that Tweeterhead should be proud of.

Yeah, it's weird that her eyes changed considering they were blue for decades. Someone at DC now must like green-eyed redheads. :laugh: It's really not a big deal to me though. I'm usually more concerned about major changes like to a costume or something. Green or blue eyes, the statue would be stunning either way.

I assume it's all about a little more visual pop since the costume has so much blue?

Don't forget that redheads have always been waaaay overrepresented in comic books for the same reason.
