Iron Man.

I think Doom is able to match anything that Tony has created so far, but he doesn't outfit his armor for more than defense and basic combat.

I was going to say Doctor Doom but after reading more about Tonys armor I'd say Iron Mans armor is much better.

Got to be IM. Doom can always rely on his magics, but IM is all technology and further ahead of Doom.

I really loved the recent Ironman/Dr. Doom battle in Mighty Avengers. It really played up how similar the characters can be and, in the end, Doom pulled out the magics to tip the scales. VERY cool battle.

The Mystical Armor is all I know for now. It should be appearing in IRON MAN: LEGACY OF DOOM #3.

Hmmmm. I don't know if I like the idea of a "mystical" Iron Man. That sounds like a fundamental change in the character. :(

Iron Man has the most sophisticated armor on the planet (well, the MU planet anyway). Not even close.

Though I would say Doom, Richards and Stark are the three smartest character in the Marvel U. Doom's intelligence seems more broad and covers different sciences, where Tony is a true technological genius. I think even Doom could learn from Tony Stark's designs.

Even Richards would be hard-pressed to beat Stark. Reed is more of an inventive genius, but even he isn't Stark's superior - not in this field.

Reed-Physics
Banner- EDIT:I was thinking of ultimate banner, excuse me but I guess Banner is more of a physics guy as well.
Doom- mix of magics and mechanical devices.
Hank Pym- I do not know what pym particles and being able to grow into a giant fits into but eh!!.

I think Doom's combination of expertises (science & magic) stands to make him more formidable, but in terms of armor prowess, I echo the sentiment that IM wins hands down.
