Tough battle...if Doom is protected against magnetic attacks somehow (or his suit is, anyway), does that mean he's also protected from Magnus playing with the iron in his blood, too? If Doom has some sort of anti-magnetic shell, then he wins after a pretty good battle. If not, then Magneto takes this in a walk.

Magneto. Apart from the obvious disadvantage Doom has in wearing armour, Magneto could drop just about anything large and metallic on Doom; an aircraft carrier perhaps! It is basic but it's gonna work.

That being said, Doom wins.

He knows Magneto from the early days, and has even fought him in the past (a la SuperVillain TeamUp). He knows how to avoid Mag's power, enough to win.

Doom is too smart, I don't care how much magnetism Erik can bring into the fray.

And if push comes to shove - like one of my esteemed colleagues already mentioned - one careful spell will end this thing quickly...

this is a tuff one. with time to prepare for eachother i would have to think that doom can win. just going on a straight up fight it is hard. i would think that a genius that wears metal armor would already have a resistance to magnetism. i think that would also keep mags from getting into his body and messing with his iron in his blood. with both of them having poweful force fields it would come down to how to dispose of eachother without touching eachother. doom has plenty of gizmos and mystic ability but that is very limited. with great strain magento can use his abilities to open wormholes. open one right on top of doom and i think it is a win for magneto.

Doom has too many tricks up his sleeve. Science and magic, the man is very dangerous. He can fight the Fantastic Four by himself as well as the Avengers. Magneto has best bring his A game or he looses fast.

Side note: Tony Stark is very arrogant to think he can hold Doom captive for too long. I would be very worried in having to keep Doom in jail. He will get revenge on the Mighty Avengers.

Superman is weak to magic...Doom is the second best sorcerer around next to Dr.Strange. He'd probably trounce Superman.

Yup. No need to think twice. Doom doesn't need to engage a physical bout with Magneto at all. Doom can simply mind control Magneto using his resources under his command. In Super Villain Team-Up, Doom released the gas in the atmosphere and controlled Magneto like a puppet! Even though I love Magneto, Doom still wins it. :buttrock:

Doom reversed his armor's polarity and threw the magnetic assaults back to Magneto in Super Villain Team-Up before. :)

Seriously? Victor's smart enough to circumvent the powers of so many heroes and villains, from street-level to cosmic, the "mere fact" that Magneto has the power to manipulate metals (yes, Doom has iron in his blood and has a metal suit, so what?) doesn't make up for Doom's genius and versatility.

He's Marvel's evil Batman essentially, but he comes to the table with mysticism and raw effin' power on top of his creative genius.

Magneto comes to the table with a condescending attitude towards most humans (mutant or sapiens alike), Doom comes to the table with just with the simple fact that he knows who he is and what lengths he's willing to go to in order to win. Magneto's written off so oddly sometimes as a character, he's almost an amusing footnote to the Marvel mutant society.. "I'm a villain.. I'm a hero... I'm a villain.. I like chili fries..." etc. Doom's ALWAYS been feared and/or respected by every hero in the Marvel Universe.
