In a straight up magic fight one on one Fate wins. If Doom is using his tech than he wins with IMO no contest. I like Doom much better, but I think Fate would win.

If its a spur of the moment fight i'd give the edge to Fate, but if Doom has time to prepare its no contest.

Depending on which incarnation, at Fate's most powerful he has shown the power to alter reality and reshape the universe, he has been able to possess the New Gods themselves (including Darkseid), and doesn't even have to be on the same plane of existance to strike at and beat Doom with whatever magical attack that he chooses to use. He also has the ability to imprison people in an alternate dimension. Therefore for my money Dr Fate Wins, and pretty handily at that.

I think pretty much the only mystical/magical character in the DCU clearly more powerful than Dr Fate (when he's at his best, in his strongest/smartest incarnations, clear of mind, and when fully aware of, and able to access, the accrued knowledge of the past) is The Spectre himself.

That's my call anyhow. :)

Dr. Doom fans are almost as loyal (dare I say insanely loyal) as Batman fans. Sometimes logic is not part of the equation.
