Hi Guys, Im new around here and have been reading some great posts, they are very helpful.

I have a question.

I plan to use expoy putty to mould some thin armour onto a baked sculpy figure. I want to release the armour to do some detail work at a later stage. I was wondering what would be the best release agent to use. I thought about vasaline but Im slightly worried about how this will efect the paint application later on. What do you think?

Look forward to hearing any ideas
Cheers

Wax, Paste wax, the type you use on wood, like minwax, just make sure you clean your armor and sculpt really good after you remove the pieces and before you paint.

If you brush on a thin layer of paste wax before you put on the putty, it should keep it from sticking, and should just snap free once you're done.
