Virgin Graphic Novels

Has anyone else picked up any of the recent graphic novels offered up by VIRGIN?

The manager at my LCS gave me a copy of DEVI as a gift on Wednesday because she thought I would like it and BOY was she ever right! This book is AWESOME!!!

I went back today and bought Ramayan .. I haven't read it yet, bit in thumbing through the GN the art work is absolutely superb!

Jesse, I asked this question earlier in the week and got two responses: one was a thumbs up, and the other didn't shoot them down, just expressed no interest in the line. I picked up the trade of Ramayan 3392AD today and will letcha know what I think.

I had intended on picking up John Woo's Seven Brothers, but Garth Ennis wrote it, which is a yellow light for me. The intro looked interesting, but after that, practically every other word is ****, ****, or ****. I'm certainly no prude, but it didn't seem like something I'd find worthwhile.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I've been following this line from the beginning and enjoying every minute of each of them.
Devi is great as are Ramayan, Saddhu, and Snake Woman. I'm really enjoying the different mythological, historical and sociological perspective of these titles.
There is some serious comic talent in India.

I just finished reading Ramayan and while I didn't enjoy quite as much as I did Devi .. it was still WAY better and a lot more original than most other books on the market today.

I'll definitely be picking up some of the other collected editions to see what they're all about.
