Anybody have Sirius satellite radio?

I got one for Christmas and was wondering how much it cost to have it installed and if you went to Best Buy or some place else for installation.

I got mine installed by the local stereo shop that specializes in car installations. Didn't want to deal with a store that hired kids that might screw with my car. The store that I went with did a great job and they had all the necessary parts os that it looked factory installed. Love Sirius radio.

depending on where you go, they will charge anywhere from 75-150 bucks. Some places have set rates, some don't.

I've got Sirius and I love it. I had a stereo shop install it. DEFINITELY get the direct connection through AUX and not have the Sirius signal broadcast over your car radio because the sound is unbelievably better with the AUX connection (I think I did a poor job explaining that, because I don't know much about this stuff, but I hope it makes sense).

My wife's new car has XM, so we will sign up for 5years and get me a tuner for my car (at about $6.00/month for an extra). I will install it.

You should find a car stereo shop to do it. Since you have the unit, you can probably get it done for around $100.00 (and a bit extra if additional parts are required).

Definitely a piece of mind thing. The dudes at Best Buy will mess your car/stereo up. Avoid them at all costs.
