I'm sort of kidding. I actually feel sorry for most of the performers, and the stink of utter failure from the try-outs never really leaves the show, for me. The clawing desperation for the spotlight (not only from the contestants, but from the judges) gets to me too. And honestly, of the three judges, I think they're all self-important twits. Them, I actually do feel like slapping, sometimes.
The show just bores me to tears. When the bright spot on a show is Ryan Seacrest, that's a good sign for me to not watch.

I love to read you thoughts, teague.
I can't deny I love reality shows that are competitions and where talent is involved (America's Next Top Model, project runway, american idol, etc)

American Idol, Survivor and Wife Swap are about all we watch in the way of reality TV. Occasionally, we'll watch Supernanny. (Jim, for some reason, has a gay crush on Nanny Jo.) Of the three, Wife Swap is the real guilty pleasure. The people on there are so clueless, and it's so obviously designed to create strife and good TV.
But still we watch it. :tounge:

Thanks, Mike.
I actually like some competitions...I liked Design Star a lot, and we watch Iron Chef, too.
I think it's the cruelty of American Idol that eventually gets to me. It pervades too much of the show, for me.

We've seen random eps of Wife Swap and Supernanny. They're good because there's no running storyline for you to stay up with.
I missed Survivor's start this season, so I doubt I'll watch it.

Teague, you seriously need to be watching Survivor. This season is only like two or three episodes in, and already it's my favorite season. You know it's good when the first person voted off was Johnny Fairplay.
