Super Glue or Epoxy??

I have a statue that needs repairing. It's the Jim Lee Superman FS statue. His cape broke clean off of his shoulders and I was wondering which to use, super glue or epoxy? Ive heard people recommending both, so Im confused which way to go.

I've never had luck with Super Glue, but this is basically the same and works like a charm.

Sold at most hobby shops or online.

I think epoxy would be a mess to clean up and takes longer to set.

I use Super-glue to put parts together initially and then use epoxy when pinning.

You can also get a kicker which speeds up the bonding of Super glue to no time.

No idea what pinning is...

Here is a picture of the break.

Pinning is used to strengthen the connection between 2 parts of a kit, model or statue. You take a small drill bit, drill into the 2 parts your putting together, then using either a wire hanger or finishing nail you slide the "pin" which has been dipped in epoxy into the drilled out hole. After which you cover the hole with another forum of epoxy and paint over it.

That break isn't impossible to fix, while you could just super-glue it to the upper shoulders and the broken portions of the cape, I would recommend pinning it as well to give it a little more bonding strength to prevent another break later.
